Reno Omokri, a political and social activist, has insisted that President Bola Tinubu attended and graduated from Chicago State University.
Friday, the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, admitted into evidence a transcript from South West College for Tinubu’s admission to Chicago State University. Tinubu was identified as a female.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and his party submitted this document along with other evidence to support the allegations made in their joint petition challenging Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the presidential election held on February 25.
Omokri cautioned the PDP against attacking Tinubu on the basis of falsehoods, stating that God will exalt Tinubu above his detractors.
Atiku’s ally highlighted Tinubu’s honors degree from Chicago State University.
Omokri tweeted: “I labored for Waziri Atiku Abubakar’s victory. I hope that he is able to displace Tinubu in the Presidential Election Petition Court. And I am not interested in Tinubu’s political appointments or employment offers.
However, the claim that Bola Tinubu did not attend Chicago State University is false. I traveled physically there. I broadcast a video from their campus. Their officials I met. Tinubu attended and graduated with honors from Chicago State University, and they even have a photograph of him in their alumni office as one of their most successful alumni.
“Not only did I travel there in person to disclose Tinubu (only to discover that he attended), but I also requested that their registry document what they said.
“Enclosed please find the letter they gave me. You can also go there in person, as I did, or contact them via email or phone if you mistrust this letter.
“He is not a savior. His prior ties to a drug cartel forever contaminate him. But let us oppose him with fairness, honesty, and transparency. If we assault Tinubu based on falsehoods, God will only further disappoint us and promote him.”
