Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian denounced the Zionist government as the principal source of insecurity and instability in the area. He said this in response to a statement made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a meeting that took place on Monday in Tehran between Amirabdollahian and Ziad al-Nakhala, the Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad movement, Amirabdollahian claimed that the issue of Palestine is the most important issue facing the Islamic world.
In addition to reiterating Iran’s support for the cause of Palestine and holy al-Quds as well as the Palestinian nation’s rightful fight against the Zionist invaders, the foreign minister stressed the importance of resistance group unity in the recent success during the five-day battle in Gaza. This victory came after the resistance groups worked together to drive out the Zionist occupiers.
According to Amirabdollahian, the apartheid Zionist rule is the fundamental reason for the lack of security and instability in the region.
He issued a plea to all of the Muslim states to take coordinated and decisive action in order to put an end to the terrible crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian people and to protect the Islamic holy sites located in al-Quds.
Nakhala analyzed the trend in Palestine and the occupied territories.
The leader of the PIJ also indicated that the Palestinian resistance organizations are completely prepared and unified to fight against the Zionist government and are able to withstand any act of aggression by the Israeli regime in order to accomplish great victories with the assistance of the Palestinian people. This was expressed in the context of the PIJ’s statement that they are fully prepared to act against the Zionist regime.
Wednesday, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei declared at a meeting with Nakhala and his team in Tehran that “The Zionist adversary is currently in a passive and reactive position.” The current situation reveals that the organizations of the Resistance as well as the Palestinian Islamic Jihad have determined the appropriate path of action and are moving with caution.
In addition, the Leader praised the PIJ for “passing the test” during the recent operation on Gaza and expressed his satisfaction with their performance.
He stressed that the conditions for the Zionist regime are different now than they were seventy years ago, and that the leaders of the Zionist regime are justified to be anxious that they may not survive to witness the 80th anniversary of the government.
