DAP national publicity secretary Teo Nie Ching advised all DAP members and supporters in the six states with elections this year to vote for Umno candidates to improve the nation.
She advised them to reconcile to help unity government parties win and improve state and federal administrations.
To maintain stability, all political parties in the unity government must win state elections. DAP wants to keep all its seats, and we hope our component partners like PKR, Amanah, and Umno win too.
“A public mandate is crucial. “If all parties in the unity government can win big, it will be an endorsement of our capabilities and achievements,” she told reporters after the Putra IOI charity run today.
The deputy communications and digital minister said DAP will keep reaching out to diverse voters.
We’ll keep publishing in Chinese, Tamil, and the national tongue. We shall reach out to the Malay population even though DAP support is low.
“We will always do our best to reach out to all communities in the country,” stated Johor DAP vice-chairman Teo.
Yesterday, Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan encouraged Umno supporters in the six states to vote for DAP candidates to bolster the unity government.
Since Umno is part of the unity government, Ahmad advised this.
Penang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu will contest state elections in the second half of this year.- BERNAMA
