Nasser Kanaani, a spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has issued a strong condemnation of the terrorist incident that took place on Thursday in Faizabad, the capital city of Badakhshan. The attack resulted in the deaths of at least 11 people.
The spokesperson emphasized that the irrational and terrorist actions against ordinary people and civilians, particularly those that took place in sacred locations, had nothing to do with the teachings of Islam and should be denounced in their entirety.
An explosion that occurred on Thursday outside the Nabawi Mosque in Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan, caused at least 11 persons who were attending a memorial service for a Taliban province deputy governor to be murdered.
